Sadly, the use of boxes to dump kittens on roads is not unique to this story, but a common tactic used all over the world. What is unique to this story though is how well informed our rescuer was and just how far away from society these kittens were abandoned.

Tuxedo cats are not the first kind of feline you might expect to be dumped, a thought that must have crossed our cycling rescuer u/angelofsquirrels mind when laying his eyes upon the felines for the first time. But then again, it is not all too ordinary to dump kittens in a box on one of the quietest roads you can find. At very least as a dumper of cats you might consider leaving them in a well populated area so that someone finds them. But it seems that the very nature of where they were placed is also what got them saved and landed in the purrfect furever home.

Once they were found, our rescuer got straight to work, not hesitating for a moment. He knew already that shelters were not an option as these poor babies would be put to sleep due to overcrowding. So it was up to him to either leave the kittens behind and hope for the best or take them with him and hope he does not foster fail and end up keeping them. But let's be frank here. No cat loving pawson who rides a bike for miles with cats in a box on his back is going to be able to pass such cute creatures onto someone else. By the time they got home they had bonded and the rest is history.

Well, erm wow, let’s just take a moment to absorb all that has just happened. What kind of society are we living in where it is even remotely ok for someone to drive to the remotest road that they know of and dump a box of kittens there. What? In the hopes no one finds them? At very least if you are to be so cowardly you would put them somewhere easy to find. Nonetheless, our dumper was thwarted by this kind cat loving hooman, who seems to know quite a lot about the state of the shelter system and what would be right to do for these kitties. It is heartwarming to know that well informed people are out there, ready and waiting for the moment they meet their cat.

Jheez, yeah we can understand that fur sure. Riding up to a box like that, that looks so out of place and has obviously been manipulated you must have so many thoughts running through your mind. Trying to prepaw yourself for the worst so that you are not run over by it by surprise. But nothing truly prepaws you for what you will see, and even with the kittens being alive and well, anyone would need a moment to step back and decompress from the build up.
